This quarter the artfractures journal includes the article “Art Theory, Critique and the Aesthetic Ideology” by Jeremy Spencer and an art historical essay “One-point perspective and other Renaissance ideas in Gentile da Fabriano’s The Presentation of Christ in the Temple from The Strozzi Altarpiece, 1423″ by Ramesh Ramsahoye. Following this is a review by Martin Boland of Roger Scruton’s recent book ‘Beauty’.

In “Beyond Painting?” John Finlay contributes a review of Robert Priseman’s (www.robert-priseman.com) recent installation “Gas Chambers” at COCA.The summer issue also includes reviews of Jill Townsley’s “Moments of Repetition” by Robert Luzar and two short pieces by Steve Swindells: “Unspeaking Engagements” at Lanchester Gallery Projects and “Life: A Users Manual” which formed part of Art Sheffield 2010.

Sam Ishii-Gonzales contributes the concluding essay “Belief in This World” on the film ‘Silent Light’ (2007) by director Carlos Reygadas.
